Senior VP, Full Stack Engineer -JAVA

We're partnered with a global financial services organisation seeking a Senior VP Full Stack Engineer to lead from the front-driving mission-critical delivery, shaping engineering standards, and building high-performing teams.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineering leader who thrives in agile environments and enjoys solving complex business challenges through scalable, secure, and resilient technology solutions. You'll play a key role in shaping engineering standards, leading talented teams, and delivering critical systems end-to-end.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role with real influence across architecture, people, and technology.
What you'll do
- Lead, coach, and scale high-performing engineering teams
- Own end-to-end delivery of critical systems (design → deploy → optimise)
- Drive engineering excellence across microservices, APIs, testing, and DevOps
- Champion secure, resilient, and observable platforms
- Partner with product and business leaders to deliver measurable outcomes
- Influence architecture strategy, modernisation, and governance
What you bring
- Proven leadership of engineering teams in agile environments
- Strong Java (Spring) expertise and microservices architecture
- Experience building scalable, observable, testable systems
- Solid DevOps mindset: CI/CD, TDD, automation, containers
- Hands-on experience with AI tools and integrating AI into products
- Track record of hiring, developing, and retaining top talent
