Infrastructure Engineer - (3rd Line Support) | Altrincham (Hybrid Working)

Here at Burns Sheehan, we have exclusively partnered with a well-established technology solutions provider who are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. This is a key role supporting both on-premise and private cloud environments, delivering installations, migrations, and technical support for their in-house applications.

As the Infrastructure Engineer, you'll act as a primary technical contact for customers, delivering 3rd line support, installations, migrations, and ongoing optimisation of business applications. Alongside this, you'll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing cloud infrastructure, ensuring systems run efficiently, securely, and in line with industry best practice.

This role would suit someone who enjoys problem-solving, can explain technical concepts to a variety of audiences, and thrives when managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll be doing:

• Providing 3rd line technical support for on-premise and hosted customers
• Owning complex incidents and seeing them through to resolution
• Strong background in infrastructure engineering, cloud hosting, and 3rd line support
• Experience with installation, migration, and configuration of applications
• Solid understanding of private/public cloud operations (Oracle experience is preffered)
• Documenting processes for installation and migration
• Troubleshooting server, application, and compatibility issues
• Staying up to date with product updates and emerging technologies

What we're looking for:

• Strong background in infrastructure engineering and 3rd line support
• Experience across Microsoft Stack, Linux Servers, VMWare, Networking
• Experience with installation, migration, and configuration of business applications
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
• Clear and concise communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Package & Benefits:

💰 £40,000 - £50,000 per year
