Cloud Platform Engineer
Cloud Platform Engineer | Liverpool City Centre
- Thriving SaaS business with an expanding client base
- City centre location
- Salary up to £50,000
- Flexible and remote working available
If you're an infrastructure or platform specialist thinking about a new challenge, have you considered the type of organisation you want to work for? I'm currently working with a really intriguing, ambitious SaaS outfit based in Liverpool city centre. 2018 was their biggest year yet.
They're growing because they've built a novel product which has been embraced by dozens of clients and rolled out to hundreds of thousands of users. One of the unintended consequences of this success is that their infrastructure has simply outgrown the capabilities of a few developers mucking in to cover bases; they need a specialist to own it.
This is an opportunity to join a 20-strong technology team as they continue to innovate within the cloud space. They challenge one another on a daily basis to "do it better" and this is where you can come in.
You'll know your way around Linux & Windows servers and understand the difference between Azure IaaS & PaaS. You'll be naturally inquisitive with a desire to work with fresh technologies. The team is eager to implement Kubernetes over the next few months and you'll get the chance to drive this in tandem with the development team.
What are we looking for?
- Azure, Azure, Azure.
- Strong fundamentals in Linux/Windows system administration.
- Experience of working with CI/CD tools & containers.
- Knowledge of virtualisation, networking protocols and load balancers.
