We're supporting an international financial services organisation as they look to hire a Team Lead for their .Net Development team in Manchester. They are about to launch an important, large scale project and need an experienced .Net Developer who can help guide and manage the team in a permanent capacity.

The main focus of the role is producing, and helping others to write, clean and efficient code. As a team, you'll be producing highly complex, scalable and robust solutions and it will be your role to lead and support the team in getting to these solutions. They work on to continuous integration methodologies and so you'll be leading the test-driven development (TDD) approach for the team.

A key part of this role is driving improvement. The organisation is striving to improve their Agile processes, implementing and driving their test-driven development (TDD) and looking at how they can improve their team structures and working practices. They'll be looking for you to be their Agile advocate and to use your experience and knowledge to implement and effect change.

Within this role you'll be leading a team of strong developers; this includes junior developers, senior developers and external contractors. You'll be organising and leading technical workshops and will have the opportunity to drive this aspect within the development team.

What are they looking for?

  • Excellent development skills across the latest versions of .Net and C#
  • Agile delivery advocate (SCRUM experience would be great)
  • Experience of Continuous Integration
  • Good experience of working in a TTD environment
  • Some experience with CI and Automation tools
  • Have great communication skills
  • Someone who is passionate about leading and driving a team
