HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript

Role: Senior Front End Developer

Location: Manchester City Centre

Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 plus benefits inc flexitime

One of Manchester's most successful digital agencies is expanding, and you could be a part of it. The Front End Dev team are looking to bring someone else into their fold. They're busy, not because someone has kicked off and run out the door, but because they are creating more top spec programs for their valued customers. They are a business that simply does what they say they're going to do (rare, I know) and they are beating their competitors by miles because of that.

This ethos continues in the dev team, everyone is supportive and happy to help each other out to ensure the end product is up to standard. No one has let the success go to their heads.

They use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (would be pretty difficult to have a front end role without these...) with jQuery and PHP depending on project.

Why this Front End Developer opportunity over others in Manchester?

The offices, the benefits, the people, the location, the food, the projects - Shall I just list on?

The Offices - Think cool, New York style lofts

The Benefits - Free food, free coffee, healthcare package, flexitime, etc.

The People - Genuinely nice people who are happy to go to the pub with you after work.

The Location - "Manchester has everything but a beach" - Ian Brown

The Food - All food tastes better when free.

The Projects - eCommerce websites for household names across Europe, and a new project coming up that excites even the toughest of people

Other companies probably fit some of this too, but these guys are pretty special - just one minute in the office will explain why.

What are they ideally looking for?

  • At least 2 years' commercial Front End development experience
  • JavaScript coding experience. Not just jQuery.
  • Ideally some mentoring experience but this is a coding role. You're not sat in a chair just bossing others about. You will be doing web development.
  • A decent human being
  • Someone who will speak up when they think there's an opportunity for improvement
