Lead Developer (Node.js)/ Up to 65k/ Manchester City Centre

I am currently recruiting for a Lead Developer for one of my clients, a SaaS start up based in Manchester City Centre. Ultimately, they enable companies to take their product to market faster and gain more insight into new territories and markets using data
The right candidate for this role will need to be a self starter and someone who can work well and lead a team of mid and senior level developers.

What will the role of Lead Developer entail?
You will be the integral link between the Head of Dev and the team. You will need to be hands on, at least initially but this role will become more hands off and managerially focussed over time. You can really shape and build the sort of team that you would like to lead.

Why would you want to work for this company?

  • Forward-thinking business that has an exciting product and work with big-name clients
  • They have recently gone through some funding and have capital to invest in tech heavily.
  • With this investment it has meant they have gone back into start up mode but with the backing and experience of a team who have been with the company since its inception. This is very much their product and they have a wealth of information to share with you.
  • Lots of focus on employee training and development and they will actively promote you to learn new skills.
  • You will be allowed to work autonomously and have your own input into the way things get done
  • Loads of cool stuff in the office Table Tennis table, Pool Table and a retro arcade machine.

What are they looking for from Lead Developers?

  • Extensive experience of software development
  • As a lead Developer you don't have to be a specialist in any one technology. Having a broad understanding of different technologies would be a big plus
  • Strong vanilla JavaScript (ES6/Next) programming skills and Node.js experience
  • Understanding of TDD
  • AWS is integral to the way they work. Experience of working with Cloud technologies previously is essential
  • Ability to lead, plan and organise teams to deliver complex features, applications, and services

Please apply via the link with your application.
