QA Engineer | £60,000 + Bonus | (3/4 Days per Week - London)
Here at Burns Sheehan, we are working with a fast-growing Financial Services organisation, who are looking for someone to come in and establish a structured Quality Assurance function from the ground up. With increasing product releases, they are looking for a QA Engineer to take ownership of testing strategies and ensure a seamless, high-quality user experience.
The Role:
This is a hands-on QA Engineer position, focusing primarily on automated testing, with some manual testing where necessary. You will be responsible for building an automated testing framework, ensuring that new features and updates do not introduce regressions and collaborating with the engineering team to integrate best testing practices.
The ideal candidate will have experience in introducing and scaling a testing function, providing structured test coverage for deployments, and taking end-to-end ownership of the QA process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Building & maintaining an automated testing framework, with a focus on UI testing.
- Performing both automated (primary) and manual testing (as needed).
- Regression Testing - ensuring that new changes do not disrupt existing functionality.
- Test Planning & Execution - working with JIRA tickets to validate deployments.
- Collaboration with Engineering - integrating testing strategies into the development lifecycle.
- Scaling & maintaining the testing suite to improve efficiency and coverage over time.
Candidate Profile:
- Experience Level: 4 - 7 years in a QA role, with experience in setting up and expanding test suites.
- Testing Frameworks: Preference for Cypress or Playwright, but open to others.
- Programming: Ideally experience within JavaScript or Python
- Strong analytical mindset - ability to think holistically about testing and quality.
