Charlotte Smith

UX Designer

Fully Remote

£40,000 - £50,000

I'm currently partnered with an exciting business who develop technology that enables their users to interact with video content through voice recognition and AI - imagine watching a YouTube video where you can speak to the vlogger and they'll respond to you. Sounds exciting, right?

They are now looking for a talented User Experience Designer to help shape the user experience of two exciting new mobile apps within the educational sector.

You will be joining a team of talented and enthusiastic colleagues. The team are ambitions and whilst the company is scaling-up, they have an experience leadership team for you to work alongside and learn from. The team currently works remotely and meet in London once a month for collaborative and engaging team meetings.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the business during their journey of growth and if you're now looking for a role where you can make a real difference and have a huge impact on their consumers - this is the role for you!

What will you be doing:

  • Designing intuitive and engaging user experiences and interfaces, with an opportunity to shape these new apps from the beginning.
  • Proactively identify where to make user experience improvements.
  • Work closely with the Product Manager to deeply understand the users and their needs.
  • Take an active role in user testing and user research, directly with users and through data analysis.
  • You'll be working in a fast-paced agile environment alongside colleagues in Product, Content, Engineering and Marketing.

What are we looking for:

  • Around 2 years of experience designing interfaces and experiences for mobile or web apps, ideally for B2C.
  • An understanding of best practices and current trends in mobile app user experience design.
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and other design-related software.
  • An understanding of how to brief software developers on designs for implementation.
  • Willingness to implement some minor UI changes using their CMS.

Burns Sheehan Ltd will consider applications based only on skills and ability and will not discriminate on any grounds.
