Role: Agile Lead

Salary: Up to £80,000 plus benefits

Hybrid Working: Once a fortnight

Location: Altrincham

We are working with a business in need of someone to come in and take the reins as they continue on in the next stage of their agile journey. Manning a team of 5 scrum masters and working within one of the most recognised tech businesses within Manchester, this is a perfect opportunity for an individual to use and display the full extent of their skills, as a culmination of many years working in an agile environment.

The business themselves work to change the way people interact with their pensions. A combination of tech driven products, and financial investments, have allowed them to catapult their brand to the forefront Manchester tech scene, ever evolving their modern approach and methodologies.

New business, clients and products in the pipeline have led them to need an agile lead, who can guide and motivate a team of scrum masters, who can then go on to deliver the best, most time and cost-effective outcome for the business.

What a day will look like for you:

  • Promoting the ideals of a technology focused business which strives to implement a more interactive experience for customers in long term financial investment
  • Different everyday - hybrid working is fully supported, meaning you experience a change of scenery, split between your home and the workplace
  • Constantly enforcing and expanding upon your previous experience, harnessing it to guide the team of 5 scrum masters, in the right direction towards a more agile way of working
  • Coaching others as the team progresses through new builds, with an ever-increasing number of new clients and products on the horizon
  • Working with and coaching business stakeholders to educate them on methods for promoting and increasing business agility.
  • Creating a focus on putting the team's wellbeing high on your list of priorities
  • Ensuring that a deep understanding of not only how, but why Scrum is used, and practiced so widely, and how it has a positive impact on the business.

What makes you the right person for the job:

  • Having previous experience in a similar Agile Coach/Scrum Master role
  • Being someone who aims to mentor, coach, and nurture the development of others, rather than micromanage
  • Able to foster an agile culture, bringing stakeholder objective in line and on board with the agile vision
  • Understanding the servant/leader methodology with a great understanding of Scrum
  • Versatility: possessing an understanding of technology, and thus, able to hold technical conversations with techies and non-techies alike
  • Experience applying agile thought process and collaboratively implementing agile culture
  • Enthusiastic to experiment with other approaches, such as Kanban and Lean to adapt work to customer needs
  • Initiative to go above and beyond for constant improvement - bringing new ideas and concepts to the table during the monthly innovation day and constantly engage in conversations surrounding development
