Senior Principal Engineer - We are working with an exciting, growing FinTech to find a Senior Principal Engineer to report directly to the CTO. The Senior Principal Engineer will be part of the Senior Leadership Team, defining and implementing the technical strategy for their high volume, low latency platforms.

The Senior Principal Engineer will be responsible for developing the systems architecture, collaborating with business stakeholders and product leadership to evolve the technology vision in line with the company's technical and business goals. You will also play a key role within the wider engineering organisation, supporting and guiding the engineers in their solutions while implementing process and best practice to drive quality and efficiency of delivery.

Who is the Senior Principal Engineer?

• The Senior Principal Engineer will need to be an experienced engineering leader with extensive knowledge of leading the design and implementation of platforms where volume and latency are key considerations.
• You will not only shape the technology roadmap but communicate that effectively with the engineering teams, guiding their designs and implementing best practice.
• You will need in-depth knowledge of building Cloud-native, API-driven solutions where scalability, performance and reliability are key.
• You must have extensive knowledge of Java and AWS.
• It is not a 'coding role'; however, you will be a passionate software engineer who is able to dive into complex technical challenges and proof-of-concepts to continue the evolution of the team.
