CTO - We're working exclusively with a well-funded FinTech to find a CTO who will set and execute the technology strategy for a highly successful company who work with the biggest names in the UK financial sector, providing amazing products to the SME market. As CTO you will be tasked with bringing maturity to a talented engineering team, currently totalling 25, who need the guidance of an experienced leader who has been through the scaling journey. The CTO will set the technology roadmap and evolve the teams' working practices to deliver high quality products at pace. The are currently midway through their monolith to microservices journey and you will be responsible for continuing this process while working on new features and on-boarding new clients to the platform.

Who will the CTO be?

• You will be able to demonstrate you have owned the technology strategy, the end-to-end delivery and operational support of complex platforms. Previous CTO experience is beneficial but this could be the opportunity for a Director or VP of Engineering to step up into a CTO role.
• You will be a pragmatic engineering leading who will evolve the maturity of the team, their processes, driving a commitment to quality and executing the vision.
• You will work closely with the Head of Product, collaborating at a strategic level to ensure the technology and product are aligned to business goals.
• The CTO will also need to be comfortable working with senior external stakeholders, supporting the sales process and understanding their challenges and opportunities.
• The client are FCA regulated and the candidate will need to have an understanding of the data management and security considerations.
