We are partnered with one of UK's most exciting tech-for-good organisations operating in the ClimateTech space and supporting them on their search for a Lead Data Engineer.

 

The role...

As the Lead Data Engineer you will drive the development of the data platform, leading a small team to achieve robust and reliable data infrastructure through the implementation of a datamesh architecture.

 

What you'll be doing...

• You will leading the Data Platform team under the guidance of the Head of Data Platform.
• You will build platform capabilities to enable easier data warehouse integration with both internal and external tools and services.
• You will collaborate with other teams to help them leverage Data Platform in their workflows while ensuring a consistent approach to data testing, versioning, and metadata management within our data mesh
• You will integrate with APIs to ingest data.

 

What they are looking for...

• Demonstrable experience in designing and scaling a Data Platform.
• Expertise with Python and SQL.
• Previous experience with Snowflake, dbt and Airflow highly preferred also.
• Passionate about solving complex data problems and interested in working with rich and diverse datasets.
