The Role

The data team is moving into an exciting new phase and you will have the opportunity to play an important role in its development, working at a senior level in the team and shaping how they deliver projects.

This is your chance to grow the Growth BI team into a power house. You will look after the workflow of two BI analysts. You will need to play the role of a product manager and an analytics advisor, helping run sprints and organise the team to achieve maximum potential while maintaining the highest calibre of work.

You will shape the BI roadmap within the growth tribe, working with the insights and analytics teams to provide powerful analytics and drive change.

What you will do…

  • You will be working closely with our growth organisation to provide a proactive view of business performance that helps drive strategic decision making and moves the needle forward.
  • You will manage the workstream for growth analytics, line managing two analysts and the work across the entire growth tribe.
  • You'll love optimising sales funnels, joining the dots between customer insights and sales strategy, and enjoying digging your heels into exploratory analysis all while communicating and liaising across the entire organisation - from product to operations.
  • You'll help to shape the direction of the data organisation through the adoption of new best-in-class data sources, services and tools to ensure we're staying ahead.
  • As you develop in the company, you'll acquire an in-depth understanding of marketing and sales, acting as an advisor and partner and help them to improve performance outcomes through the use of data and technology.
  • You'll help to shape our tribal and organisational KPIs and ensure the data and reporting is there to support them.
  • You'll act as an expert mentor and develop and lead training and workshops to raise the standards of our utilisation of data across the company. Whether it's training analysts on automating their workflows or business units on how to use self-service tools, you'll be raising the bar.

What you will bring:

  • You will be constantly on the lookout for growth and optimisation opportunities, and an expert in driving lead generation and understanding the balance between volume and quality.
  • You will have worked with or built an attribution model before and are able to communicate clearly about its efficacy and application to budget management.
  • You are passionate about marketing and sales tech and will have created BI solutions for marketers and salespeople before, empowering them with tools that made them more efficient.
  • You can capture people's attention and explain complex ideas whether you're presenting to a room full of senior leaders or writing documentation.
  • You're the commercially-minded person in the engineering discussion and the person pointing out the technical considerations in the meeting of business people.
  • You know how to lead and execute a BI project from requirements gathering to satisfactory delivery, communicating to your stakeholders proactively and organising resources.
  • You have strong visualisation and analytical skills, and are able to use platforms such as Looker to derive insights and do situational scenario solving.

Technical experience:

  • You have extensive experience managing workflows and multiple analysts
  • You have experience in SQL and BigQuery
  • You're an expert with Looker
