Technical Support Analyst

A leading provider of energy management software to the energy industry. Based in Solihull. Working with Blue chip clients on a global scale.

The Role

The role will require the candidate to have excellent background knowledge in IT infrastructures, with both physical hardware and hosted solutions and offer technical expertise to rest of internal teams for IT related infrastructure requests.

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Have a background from IT infrastructure role, comfortable with both physical and virtual environments
  • Practical experience of supporting / troubleshooting complex web application.
  • Excellent understanding SQL Server which includes Query writing / database administration / performance analysis within the management studio and high availability options
  • Experience of IIS including solid understanding of windows servers, comfortable working in a High availability server set up
  • Solid Understanding of networking / infrastructure; TCP/IP, DHCP(LAN, WAN, WIFI), VPN

Desirable

  • A Computer Science or other IT-related degree
  • Exposure to Azure / AWS hosted services (Our platform is cloud based)
  • Previous experience with offering SaaS solutions
